ACTIVATING MUSEUMS
WITH THE POWER OF PLAY
WE ARE BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
In 2022, The History Co:Lab and Education for Sharing worked with the LEGO Foundation to support museums to engage people of all ages in power of play.
The campaign was launched in 11 countries with hundreds of thousands of participants. We are building on this momentum to weave a community of practice around the principles of learning through play.
We host webinars and share resources in our network—sign up to stay informed and share what you have!

Check out this video to see how LEGO defines playful learning, and you’ll see how well it aligns with museum pedagogies.
The best part is: museums are already doing so much. From dedicated play spaces and studios, to family days, and creative pedagogies. As museums, we can be hubs for a revolution in thinking about the power of play!
